LOVE NOTES FROM OUR CLIENTS!
My wife and I have recently been to a few weddings that featured high-energy bands; the kind that rocked the house and kept the dance floor packed all night. But we knew we wanted to capture a unique evening for our daughter (and now son-in-law). We interviewed some other bands we had previously seen, but they were either booked, or were overpriced.We were so fortunate to happen upon JMO. Hiring them for our daughter’s wedding was one of absolute best decisions we made. Seriously. Working with Robert was easy. We talked about what kinds of music we'd want to hear at our wedding, talking mostly about music preference specifics. He responded very quickly, and best of all is passionate and knowledgeable about what he does. Robert gives you many singers to choose from (we had five!), all with different backgrounds and styles, so you can essentially design your own band and get a custom sound. It's really unique and incredible! And the price was reasonable! JMO was incredible - there's no other way to put it! They read the crowd, chose great songs, , reacted to the crowd on the floor and kept EVERYONE dancing the entire night! They played everything from Beatles to Stevie Wonder to Elton John to Daft Punk and on and on. And they maintained their energy level through to the very end. There was not a single moment (meals excluded) where the dance floor was not utterly packed! My wife and I are still receiving comments from our guests about how it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and the band was amazing. We cannot thank you and JMO enough! If you want an absolute knockout wedding that your guests will remember for a long time, these are your guys. Period.

Wow! That is about all I can say. This band kept the party alive and our guests on their feet the entire time they were performing. Not only is the band professional, but they are extremely talented individuals who use their musical abilities to keep everyone entertained. They play any type of music at the drop of a hat. At a party, the band can start with classics from Frank Sinatra, and they can end the night with the latest modern hits like "Uptown Funk." This band was the reason why my event was so successful, and I cannot wait to hire them again in the future!

We danced from start to finish!
Jimmy and Robert were so kind and excellent to work with. JMO's reputation speaks for itself and the additional pluses were:
they were up for learning new songs (we live in London, so we wanted to British songs)
they politely embraced guest singers (we have talented singers as best friends from the UK that I wanted to incorporate)
the range of songs they were able to play suited the range of generations we had as guests which was very important to us
they were able to suit our budget by adding/reducing number of musicians
they were very responsive, including willingness toSkype etc.
Jimmy's wealth of experience can advise you on the best order of the reception.
The music was so good, our guests started dancing before we (the bride and groom) even entered the room, which made us very happy that everyone was having a good time. They played throughout dinner and ended the dancing perfectly with the Second Line.

Best Big Band Sound! Not just another 'wedding band'.
We couldn't have been happier with our choice of the Jimmy Maxwell Orchestra.
We were looking for a big band sound for our reception in the Blue Room of the Roosevelt Hotel and going for the classy feel of the cocktail era supper club when Sinatra had played in that same room. They did not disappoint. Their choice of songs was spot on, and we were really impressed with their range - everything from old school swing to crooners to new music like Beyonce. They really rocked it all. Far and away better than just another "wedding band" they were quality musicians.
Our guests danced the night away and told us the next day how impressed they were with our choice of band. And for the number of musicians the price was very reasonable.
Jimmy and his son Robert were also very accomodating, meeting us beforehand and asking for our preferences. They really listened to what we requested but obviously had lots of experience doing this before so I felt comfortable with their song choices to fit the mood of the crowd. They are real pros.
